Children self discovery
Children grow up and leave home. They go from the helpless babes in your arms
to mature adults . They do lots of things behind our backs. Allow them. We just
back off . We have to learn to keep pace
that's all. We must resist to do everything for them. Yes, just
dont give them too much
responsibility to carry. Allow them to
try . Dont offer help unless asked.
With age they progress.
We don't have to stand by ready with tissue to wipe any spillage when
they drink. As teenagers , we expect them to tidy after themselves. They may not know the tricks of the trade.
This is where we as adults, as parents
comes in. They may be not be apt at their work. They may do things
badly, in different ways from us. Let them . Allow them to cultivate skills,
habits . Allow them to discover themselves .
We just hand them responsibility
little by little but with guidance. They then will be able to have the
strength to face the ups and downs of life.
Dont expect too much from them . Give them a longer rope to
explore ... just standby and watch them develop
and morph....
