EQUANIMITY (UPEKKHA)
This means that when you find yourself in a position where
the practice of loving-kindness (metta), compassion (karuna), and sympathetic
joy (mudita) cannot be helpful to a person or situation, you maintain stability
of mind, a non-judgemental indifference. You neither jump for joy nor do you
let events outside your control break your spirit. You realize that all outward
manifestation is subject to the law of change, decay and decomposition. It is
as it is. Just let it be.
